Camping equipment I'm using and highly recommend

If you want proper coffee without messing about this mug is perfect. Spoon in your grounds, add boiling water, then press down the mess plunger and enjoy real coffee.

This is a lifesaver for charging your phone on the go. This solar charger folds neatly into a wallet you can pop in your backpack but folds out to four large solar panels that will charge three USB devices at once. In full sun it'll charge one device as quick as on mains. If I'm taking a lot of photos or using my phone for navigation then sometimes I strap it to my rucksack through the handy holes at the top. Even in cloud you'll keep your battery at a usable level of charge. Also great for the beach and if you're camping off grid.

A compact and yet powerful log-burning camping stove. See our initial impressions after the first weekend of use in the video above.

  1. We are looking at getting a little woodburner stove for our bell tent for when we move back to the UK, have you had any experience of them?

    1. The frontier stove in the video above is suitable for tents. It has the benefit of providing warmth and a cooking surface too. There's a flashing kit available for canvas tents: http://amzn.to/2BWtXI8
